German June Retail Sales Below Expectations

German retail sales fell slightly on the month in June,
defying expectations for an increase, data from the country’s statistics office
Destatis showed Tuesday. In adjusted terms, sales fell 0.1% on the month, after
falling 0.3% in May. It was the third straight month of falling sales, the data
showed.
