可口可樂、百事公司日前先后宣布，公司旗下的橙汁飲品含微量殺菌劑多菌靈，不過其含量低于美國聯邦監管機構規定的足以引起公眾安全關切的標準，因此不構成健康風險。

　　Brazilian　orange　juice　producers　say　the　use　of　the　fungicide　carbendazim，which　was　discovered　in　some　major　U.S.　orange　juice　brands，is　widespread　in　Brazil，raising　concerns　that　most　deliveries　to　the　U.S.　could　contain　the　substance.

　　可口可樂的Simply　Orange、美汁源(Minute　Maid)以及百事公司旗下純果樂(Tropicana)，都是美國市場上主要果汁品牌，它們目前使用的部分原料來自巴西橙汁。

　　“We‘re　working　with　the　FDA　and　will　take　our　guidance　from　them，”Coca-Cola　spokesman　Dan　Schafer　said　Thursday　about　any　steps　the　beverage　giant　would　take　to　address　safety　concerns.　
　　可口可樂發言人查菲爾在該飲料巨頭回應(市場)安全擔憂時說，“我們目前正與FDA密切配合”。(《亞特蘭大日報》)
　　據可口可樂方面稱，該公司對于運抵工廠的橙汁都要進行例行檢測，該公司在美國市場上所售橙汁產品的主要原料供應地是福羅里達州。百事公司隨后發表聲明也稱，公司產品進行了額外測試，測試的進口巴西橙汁中的多菌靈含量低于藥管局所說的足以引起安全關切的標準。

　　If　any　retail　orange　juice　tests　positive　for　what　amounts　to　a　trace　level　of　the　fungicide—80　parts　per　billion　or　higher—FDA　officer　said　the　agency　“will　take　steps　for　its　removal　from　the　market”.
